BOSTON, MA– The Snowport Holiday Market is back, transforming Seaport into a winter wonderland.

Small business owners at the market, like Karen Clarke, have seen Snowport bring a new sense of life to the neighborhood.

“This has now become the heartbeat of the city of Boston,” said Clarke.

WS Development started the Snowport initiative in 2021 to revitalize the community. According to Associate Director of Community and Partnership, Emily Soukas, guests will be able to shop from 130 vendors this year. With over 1,000,000 million visitors last year, Snowport has become one of the most profitable markets for small businesses in New England.

“Small business is part of our ecosystem. It’s the cornerstone of our development so to be able to support so many small businesses alongside bigger national brands it’s a way to bring everyone together and give everyone an opportunity to do well,” said Soukas.

The market is open for two months and with free general admission, vendors have a constant stream of customers through the busiest shopping season. Jennifer Hombach, a vendor at Snowport, said the stability is great for small businesses.

“It’s definitely a lot more economical…So I’m sure a lot of artisans benefit in that regard from having a stable place that’s very busy,” said Hombach.

Snowport will be open seven days a week through Dec. 29.
